The first issue of a six-part mini-series comic novel...

SIR ALEC & I
The wicked life story of Sir Ronald Timberlaine Clutterbuck

by James Debens and Christophe Gowans

***
Sir Ronald's life is inextricably interlinked with that of Sir Alec Guinness, due to a bibulous critic of a 1932 theatrical production of Don Quixote confusing the two then-unknown actors in his review.

The epic tale of an extravagant and embittered thespian is told – in foul-mouthed and chaotic style – by following a team making a TV documentary of his life. Intercut are Sir Ronnie's conversations with his long-lost daughter, and the whole is accompanied by the story retold in poetic form, together with copious footnotes.
